Equally reminiscent of golden-era late 90's R&B as classic soulful house, 'When I Luv' is a powerful back & forth duet performed between Mike City himself and hip hop / soul queen Faith Evans, exploring universal feelings of fear and uncertainty when it comes to giving your heart to another.

Kenny Dope guides 'When I Luv' expertly onto the dance-foor with an energetic and brash reworking. Heavy drums and a massive synth
hook neatly juxtapose the original's smooth, jazzy chords and of course those soulful vocals. An instrumental version and 'Keyapella' are also included: perfect tools for creative DJs.

Writing and producing his frst #1 record back in the year 2000 (‘I Wish’ performed by Carl Thomas), Mike went on to work with Brandy, Rihanna, Angie Stone and Jamie Foxx as wellas penning Sunshine Anderson’s smash hit ‘Heard It All Before’.
